This car has been a repeat customer at RTC. The car has seen many different stages. Its latest was a complete rebuild. To start off with, the car got an Autronic SMC and 500r for controlling the built motor with forged internals. A custom intake manifold was added to help the forced air into the engine. A 76mm turbo with a 4row Greddy intercooler gets the air to the engine while keeping it cool. A NX 2 stage nitrous system was also included for an added kick. Twin Walboro intake pumps deliver fuel through the custom RTC fuel lines to the engine. To get all this power to the ground, a custom Turbo 400 transmission was installed. Other additions include a 4" turbo back exhaust, custom Sparco seats, Rotora big brake kits, struts bars, and Koyo radiator. This car made 569 hp on the dyno running off the wastegate spring! Once the engine has been broken in, we will be tuning the car for over 1000hp! Check back for updates on this car!

This car was already featured on the Internet at tunerzine.com. The engine, suspension, fuel management, exhaust, interior and exterior had already been significantly upgraded to handle anything thrown at it. Unfortunately the turbo and fuel system were still stock limiting this car to about 300-330whp. RTC began the build towards an estimated 550whp adding an AMS GT35RL turbo kit, RTC custom fuel system including 1000cc fuel injectors, Aeromotive 1:1 regulator, Twin Walbro Fuel Pumps and Aeroquip lines and fittings. The battery was also relocated to the trunk enabling a custom charge pipe from the intercooler to the throttle body to handle more airflow from the larger turbo system.
The autronic plug and play engine management system was tuned with a high precision A/F Sensor with the aid of the Autronic PC logger. With VP c16 fuel the engine was tuned to an 11.3: 1 a/f ratio, which generally is the best trade off between a safe tune and power. This car is extremely fast in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear accelerating to 125mph as fast as most cars reach 60mph. It was soon apparent the Exedy Twin plate clutch was no longer going to be able to handle the higher output of this engine. It was decided to install a RPS carbon carbon clutch to assist with 2 step launches at the drag strip and to hold the single fogger 100 Hp injection of nitrous when so decided.
